1. LPI简介（Introduction to LPI）

​

     IPL考试的全称为“The Language Proficiency Index”，是测试考生阅读和写作能力的一种英语语言考试。该考试是由UBC大学研发，由名为“Paragon Testing Enterprises”的其子公司实施的考试（附注：思培考试也是由UBC大学开发，并由该公司实施的考试）。

     LPI考试成为BC省很多大学和学院认可的考试，也有很多专业组织和机构也认可这项考试，下面是认可这项考试的学校和机构（资料来源于LPI官方网站：https://www.lpitest.ca/who-accepts-lpi/）

      自2017年9月1日起，地产经纪语言考试由原来的各大学采用的LPI考试，改为需要参加CELPIP（斯培）考试，而且由原来的只考LPI的写作部分，改为现在需要参加斯培综合考试类（CELPIP-General）的考试，包括听、说、读、写全部四项技能的考试，并且整个考试采用机考的方式进行。按揭经纪（贷款经纪）的语言水平考试仍为LPI考试，而且需要达到写作在4级或以上。

      各大学和学院的LPI考试水平要求不同，除了UBC大学要求学生的LPI成绩必须达到5级以外，其他大学均要求学生应达到LPI4级的水平。

 

2. LPI考试培训（LPI Training）

​

     加西教育拥有雄厚的LPI教师师资和专业的LPI教学水准，学习时间最短的学生在培训2-3次后顺利通过考试，学习时间最长的学生在1-2个月内通过该考试。

     招生对象：按揭经纪(Mortgage Broker)或俗称的贷款经纪、以及需要通过LPI考试的在校大学生。

     教学内容：结合LPI考试的特点，重点进行模拟真题训练，讲解在考试中常犯的错误，通过讲练结合，缩短学习时间、快速提高考试成绩。    

     教学目标：从解决语言问题入手，强化真题练习和讲解，在最短的时间内顺利通过考试。

    上课时间：每周一-周日上午9:00-12:00 滚动开班，或自己组班预约上课时间。

Boxing should be banned. Do you agree or disagree? [317]

 

Boxing is a popular sport, and the exciting part of the sport is most likely to be its bloodiness and financial benefits. Such excitement has made the banning of this sport very controversial. Some argue that it is financially beneficial to individual boxers and the community, while others contend that this sport does more harm than good and should be banned. From my point of view, however, banning boxing is a must and can be beneficial for two major reasons.

 

For one thing, banning the sport can save families. As boxers in such a competition are cold-blooded, they try hard to forcibly punch their opponents’ head and other critical parts of their body. After each contest, some boxers are left terribly paralyzed physically and mentally, and even a few of them were knocked to death. Consequently, the sport often ends up traumatizing and even breaking many boxers’ families. Obviously, the banning of such sport will not make such a tragedy happen.
